Sound is fine for me, had a SB Live in my old system, cant tell the difference, but not an audiophile either. The sound is better than my old Audigy 1 using digital speakers. Besides, memory is cheap right now, or at least cheaper than when I bought mine. Hope I can find someone, who’s able to replace them. You mean PC, right? ASUS A7N8X – motherboard – ATX – Socket A – nForce2 SPP Series
I’ve experienced this several times, and the asys time i spent 3 hours rebooting until it finally turned on. How do you like this motherboard and how is the integrated sound capability versus say a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz card? There is no official Asus forum either, so third party forums, like our Asus forumare the best place to find help.
For video I’m stuck with a Radeon But you should really take this into consideration because if you DO end up with a bad board you could have problems getting an RMA. As for the sound, I have heard some people complaining that there are popping or crackling noises, but I haven’t experienced this.
This may or may ncorce a “real” A7N8X problem. Asus decided to spend their value-add-ins on the software and on the wireless network card.

If you can, you might want to check a7n88x voltage of the battery. These fan headers are a little close to asys AGP slot. I’m going to have to warn you on this board: Stay away from those drivers, and you have an awesome system. So if you have a videocard with a large cooler, you may end up losing the first PCI slot as a result see above image.
I personally believe it’s at least three different issues at work. Haven’t gone into bios, haven’t changed anything etc.
